“Citigroup Inc. lifted its price target for Dollar General Corp. (NYSE:DG) from $39 to $41 on Wednesday, with a Buy rating maintained. Citigroup maintained its 2010 EPS estimate for the firm at $1.31, raised its 2011 EPS estimate from $1.74 to $1.81, and hiked its 2012 EPS estimate from $2.08 to $2.18. Dollar General operates a chain of discount retail stores located primarily in the southern, southwestern, midwestern and eastern United States. The company offers a broad selection of merchandise, including consumable products such as food, paper and cleaning products, health and beauty products and pet supplies, and non-consumable products such as seasonal merchandise. The firm has a potential upside of 2.8% based on a current price of $32.88, and an average consensus analyst price target of $33.82. Dollar General had sales growth of 0.1% during the last fiscal year. The company has reported $12.4 billion in sales over the past 12 months and is expected to report $14.2 billion in sales in the next fiscal year.”
