For new work the wire has to be four wire and a four wire receptacle to be code compliant. Why is he using three wire and a three wire receptacle.

OMG cant anyone show mw how to WIRE a 220 for a dryer??? my god i have a hundred ways to put a dryer in lol my god are we stupid

You could mention that most 4x boxes have little tangs that you rest right against the stud, thus setting you up for perfect alignment with common drywall thicknesses.

This sort of shows how to screw the box onto the stud. I have no idea how to connect the outlet or connect the other end to the elec. box
