Beijing “Dama”s like Smacker or “Daye”s like the half-naked old man in the Hutong whom Sufei went to for relationship advices are the reasons why I like Beijing. I always go to those for help with directions, they would drop whatever they were doing and make sure you are helped.

There are some mistakes in English subtitles; I don’t know they are intentionally placed or not.
The American girl asked “smacker” that “Could the quality of the air be improved to some satisfactory state by 2008″ in Chinese, while the subtitle shows “whether the air pollution will impact the Olympics in 2008″. Obviously, they don’t have the same meaning.
