I have been looking into getting a bachelors degree at Arizona State University in real estate. I am also planning on moving to texas after college, can my licensing transfer over there, or do I have to take classes again? I am guessing that after I got my degree, I wouldn’t have to take classes again, can someone confirm this?
If the state has what they call “reciprocity” with that state once you are licensed then yes you can practice without taking the exam over. If not You may have to take a few more classes to be able to practice in that state. Call the Real Estate board of the state that you intend to work in to find out more.
I believe a degree will be valid for your education requirements in other states. (Otherwise, what’s the point?) However, the license itself requires a state test. So, if there’s not reciprocity between the 2 states, you’d have to take a new test. The respective real estate board will have a definitive answer for you.
