You can take glass bowls or vases and fill them with Christmas ornaments, balls work great. You could also get some limbs out of the woods or your yard and spray them gold, silver or metallic baby blue and put them in a vase. You can hang gems, crystals or ornaments on them. Spray pinecones the same way, you can add glitter if you want to add extra sparkle and arrange them in a bowl, wreath or just around some candles on your table.

I took some tomato cages, purchased for $1 at local Wal-Mart, and rapped them in inexpensive garland and clear lights. They look just like the expensive mini trees that you can put outside your front door and cost less than $10 to make two. I just stuck them on the top of two empty pots that I plant spring flowers in.

This is simple and cheap..Place a large holiday candle (or solid color) in the center of a large decorative plate, tray or whatever marches your decor. I use a round wooden plate/charger from Pier 1 Imports. Then put holiday candies around the candle. I use a white candle and individually wrapped peppermints. I keep them wrapped so people can actually eat them, but you could use more decorative ones then toss when you the holidays are over.
