Personally I would hit the library. Check out some books. Most libraries let you check out 40 of them per person. Look at the magazines while you are there. See if they SELL old magazines. Then go through them, pulling out pages and circling things you like. Photocopy book ideas. I would get a tablet and just stick photos and notes in there. “Love the paint” on this photo, “hate the way this kitchen looks, its probably the angles?” on that photo.
Ask a new question, something like “What do you hate about your kitchen? Bathroom?” etc and take notes. Ask friends.
Call a few realtors and ask what buyers really look for. For example, tile floor will raise resell value. Do buyers really want high ceilings? ( I wouldn’t a/c is too expensive!)
