The company DeBeers comes to mind. They control the diamond market by buying as much of the worlds diamonds as they can and warehousing them causing artificial scarcity thus controlling the price of diamonds as George is saying about housing. Believable, we are talking about bankers.

Foreclosures topped 300,000 for the straight month=banks are being inundated with foreclosures. They aren’t being held off the market in order to dupe people. There will be falling prices and good deals for years-but I don’t see some sort of shadow invenstory-its just that foreclosures arent abating

Real State prices will go down even more since ARM will explode next year with a fury, dumping houses left and right, thus prices will sink.
