THIS IS THE DUMBEST THING I’VE EVER SEEN.
IN MY OPINION A GOOD SAFE DETERS ALL THREE, FIRE, WATER & THEFT.
THIS SAFE HAS 6 HOLES IN TOTAL, 2 OF THEM THE SIZE OF A QUARTER.
SO, IT’LL DETER BURGLARY, BUT IF YOUR HOUSE BURNS, OR IF YOU HAVE A FLOOD ALL
OF YOUR PRECIOUS PAPERS, DOCUMENTS, MEMORABILIA ETC. WILL BE RUIND.
THE AD IS NOT CLEAR ABOUT THIS, AS ONE DOESN’T GO LOOKING TO SEE IF THE SAFE HAS HOLES IN IT. ONE WOULD ASSUME, THAT LARGE HOLES AND SAFES WOULD NOT WORK TOGETHER. INSTEAD I BOUGHT A HONEYWELL MODEL THAT HAS ALL GOOD PROTECTION FOR ALL THREE, AND WILL LEAVE ME SLEEPING BETTER AT NIGHT.
IT’S AS IF ONE WERE TO BUY A HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE POLCY AND OPT OUT OF FIRE OR FLOOD PROTECTION IN THEIR POLICY. JUST PLAIN DUMB! AND NOW I HAVE THE UNPLEASANT DUTY OF RE-PACKING THE STUPID THING AND LUGGING IT TO BE PICKED UP.
TO EACH THEIR OWN, I KNOW, CLEARLY THIS PRODUCT WORKS FOR MANY (ALL 5 STARS) BUT IT IS BEYOND ME.

I did some shopping around and I found this same safe for less at [...] where I paid $89.99 for it.
I bought this safe because I thought it would be great to have in my college dorm room. Turns out I didn’t need it. It did create an awkward moment when my roommate saw it moving in. The guys on my floor respect other people’s stuff and my we always manage to lock our door, so I usually keep the safe unlocked.
Comes with a steel cable that I used to lock the safe to my bed frame.

SentrySafe X105 Security Safe, 1.0 Cubic Feet, Black
The first safe came with no keys but was exchanged in a timely matter. I use my safe everyday and enjoy it for its purpose.

The SentrySafe X105 is an excellent buy. I have only one small criticism. After the combination has been entered and the door knob has been turned, there is not enough to hold onto to easily open the door. Other than that small problem, this is an excellent product.
