We just built a free standing roof over out back door. We have hung this up under the roof where we can see if from the house or on the patio, itself. I love the Barometer. You can see the humidity @ a glance. Nice big face so you can easily see it. The other big selling feature was that it is a Timex. This is very easy to set and you are ready to go in minutes.

This unit is practical and clean looking (no frills). It is on our patio and we will see how it survives the hot Arizona summer.

This clock works perfectly well indoors. It did not keep time outside. It also clicks very loudly, so sitting in the patio with it is distracting.
