I truly love this thing. As I’ve gotten older, my knees hurt when I kneel on them, and I need some support to get up off the floor. I had a molded plastic kneeling/sitting bench, but it didn’t fold for storage and always seemed to be in the way. Then, I found one day that it wasn’t as sturdy as I’d thought. I was trying to pull some computer cables under my desk to plug into a power strip and when I tried to get up, that plastic bench tipped, dumping me backward and in a tough position to rise from. It’s really hard to feel you can’t do things for yourself, so I went immediately in search of a better bench and found this.
It is outstanding. The foam you kneel on is really kind to knees, much denser than the pad on the other bench, yet yielding, so there aren’t severe pressure points. So much more comfortable! The way the handles (or legs) are positioned and indented, it is not prone to tipping. The unit is wide enough to give you good leverage when you need to rise. It folds for easy storage and is remarkably sturdy. It doesn’t wiggle even the slightest bit.
I still don’t like to kneel, but when I have to, this unit makes it possible. Although it’s for the garden, I use it more in the house. Last week I had to retrieve something from under a bed and this bench was a lifesaver, yet again. It is well worth having on hand.

The item is well made and sturdy. The foam cushions are good. The seat is too high for me. It could be a little wider as it tend to wobble when using the seat. When opening, it locks in very well. It takes a little too much force to pull the locking springs back. a weaker person might not be able to get them far enough back to lock.

Being in called a senior shows when I try to get up from kneeling. This kneeler seat is the best for changing positions. It is sturdy and yet comfortable.

I dropped one star, because I found the kneeler configuration isn’t comfortable. Must be something with my knees. It raises them those few inches above the floor, which is painful. Holding the handles to kneel isn’t particularly comfortable. However, holding the handles to sit in the bench configuration is handy, and it is even sturdy to hold to get out of other seats.
What I like is it makes a handy, nonskid TV tray/side table. As someone pointed out, the pad is stiff, but the metal work is rather attractive. It’s narrow and pleasant enough to be a piece of furniture in my small motorhome.
It arrived a little dirty, and the box was a mess, which makes me think somebody returned it. However, a little wipe-off cleaned it up. The folding mechanism is fine and, most importantly, sturdy.

I use my “yard butler” garden kneeler and seat in the garden all the time. It is such a great help for any type of work where one has to kneel. Getting up is made easy with the side supports. It can be turned around and it serves as a comfortable little seat or as a sidetable by a garden chair. It is built very sturdy and can be folded for storage. I love my kneeler and highly recommend it for us elderly gardeners.
